UltraServe CEO Matthew HylandUltraServe CEO Matthew HylandAustralian commerce specialist UltraServe has continued its global expansion by launching a London office to deliver its managed e-commerce services in Britain and Europe.

Driven by demand from clients seeking to strengthen their e-commerce offerings in the region, the new office, located at Eastbourne Terrace opposite Paddington Station, already has local staff.

London is UltraServe’s second offshore office, after Chicago, which continues to grow rapidly with staff numbers passing the double-digit mark during the past year. UltraServe also has offices in Sydney, at Pyrmont and in the Central Coast suburb of Erina.

UltraServe, a private company whose owners include founder Samuel Yeats and technology investor Simon Hackett, is a specialist provider of e-commerce services in the cloud.

UltraServe CEO Matthew Hyland said he expected the UK office to grow like the US office. “Based on demand, I expect we will grow staff numbers rapidly within the next 12 months,” he said. “London is a great place for our second international office. This location is a good hub that allows us to serve the whole of the European market. The UK itself represents a large market opportunity and, importantly, it’s where many of our partners are based.”

UltraServe Chief Revenue Officer Paul McClureUltraServe Chief Revenue Officer Paul McClureAustralian commerce specialist UltraServe has recruited experienced technology executive Paul McClure to the new position of Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) to accelerate its international growth.

The latest step in a management redesign to streamline supporting enterprise customers, Paul’s role will focus on driving UltraServe’s revenue growth, specifically generating new opportunities from strategic partnerships, product development and new customers.

Paul has more than 20 years’ experience in technology leadership positions including sales, strategy and business development, technology and product development. Paul worked for Commvault for the past 11 years, including establishing Commvault’s worldwide cloud and service provider line of business. His most recent role, which was based in San Francisco, will assist with UltraServe’s global expansion.

Now located in Sydney, Paul will manage UltraServe’s sales, pre-sales and marketing functions, reporting directly to the company’s Chief Executive Officer Matthew Hyland.

Matt Hyland said Paul brought a wealth of experience to the new Chief Revenue Officer role. "Paul’s goal is to drive our revenue growth through product development and building partnerships to further strengthen our valued-based market offering to our existing and new customers,” he said.

UltraServe VP Operations Vishnu RoyUltraServe VP Operations Vishnu RoyAustralian ecommerce specialist UltraServe has created the new role of Vice President Operations to support delivering services to meet rapidly growing local and international demand.

Concurrently with opening its first US office in Chicago, UltraServe has filled the newly created role with Vishnu Roy, an experienced service delivery and project manager who has previously worked for Dimension Data, ASIC and IBM Australia.

UtraServe’s new VP Operations role involves managing senior project engineers, the service desk and general operations across the business, both in Australia and internationally.

UltraServe CEO Matthew Hyland said Vishnu Roy had a strong background with large tech businesses such as IBM and DiData. “He is very professional, gets things done and has a lot of experience with managing and leading teams,” he said.

UltraServe CEO Matt HylandUltraServe CEO Matt HylandAustralian ecommerce specialist UltraServe has expanded into the United States, opening an office in Chicago to meet demand for its SmartStack-powered SAP Hybris deployment and hosting expertise.

UltraServe expects its Illinois office to grow within the next few months as word-of-mouth spreads about its ability to deploy ecommerce platforms in weeks rather than months.

UltraServe recently undertook a major engagement in the US to assist a pharmaceutical multinational to put a challenging Hybris deployment back on track. It achieved this within weeks. UltraServe’s US beachhead follows a successful international expansion that has seen the Sydney-based company win business in countries as diverse as Brazil and India.

UltraServe CEO Matt Hyland said the Chicago office gave the company “skin in the game”. “We deal with some very large organisations, so establishing a US office adds to our global credibility,” he said.
